Is my cat sick?

Do I need to take him to the Vet?

 

You need to call us to make an appointment for your cat if…

 

It is urinating outside of the litterbox

It has started vomiting

It has diarrhea

It is drinking excessively and/or urinating excessively

It’s attitude/behavior has dramatically changed

It has been coughing or sneezing

It has no appetite

 

 

 

Your cat needs to be seen immediately if…

 

Ø    It is open-mouth breathing (panting).  Cats avoid doing this unless there is respiratory compromise.

Ø    Your cat (especially males) is straining in the litterbox and not producing urine.

Ø    Your cat has ingested a foreign object, toxin, or a human medication like Tylenol.

Ø    It has suffered head, abdomen, chest or any type of trauma

Ø    It is not responsive to you.
