| Is My Cat Sick?
Do I need to take him to the Vet?
You need to call us to make an appointment for your cat if…
- It is urinating outside of the litterbox
- It has started vomiting
- It has diarrhea
- It is drinking excessively and/or urinating excessively
- It’s attitude/behavior has dramatically changed
- It has been coughing or sneezing
- It has no appetite
Your cat needs to be seen immediately if…
- It is open-mouth breathing (panting). Cats avoid doing this unless there is respiratory compromise.
- Your cat (especially males) is straining in the litterbox and not producing urine.
- Your cat has ingested a foreign object, toxin, or a human medication like Tylenol.
- It has suffered head, abdomen, chest or any type of trauma
- It is not responsive to you
