Jefferson Animal Hospital and Regional Emergency Center at 4504 Outer Loop is available any time that we are not in the office to provide you and your pet with emergency care. Our hospitals communicate daily to insure that your pet receives the very best care 24 hours a day.
We are open 7 days a week and each day there is a doctor on our premises that is highly experienced in all aspects of veterinary medicine, including exotic pet care.
Blood serum and gas analyzers allow us immediate diagnostic results when your pet is ill or injured. This allows us to make a quicker diagnosis so we can begin immediate treatment of your pet's condition.
Radiology capabilities with automatic film processing allow us to process X-Rays quickly and accurately. X-Rays are used not only to evaluate bones, but also heart, lungs and abdominal organs to diagnose diseases.
Doppler blood pressure is commonly used for patients with cardiac or other systemic diseases. It gives us very necessary information to monitor long term medications.
High Speed Drill and Dental Unit allows us to perform dental procedures quickly and accurately. It also enables us to perform a prophy (teeth cleaning) quickly and thoroughly.
Dental Radiology Unit allows us to take X-Rays of your pet's mouth. With this technology we can see beyond the gum line. We can identify pocket abscesses and bone loss due to periodontal disease allowing us to provide better dental care during the surgical procedure.
An extensive medical reference library is available to our doctors and nurse 24 hours a day. This continuously updated library contains the latest medical information about dogs and cats and avian and exotic animals.
Anesthesia monitors for all anesthetic procedures are available including EKG, Pulse Oximetry, Respiratory monitors and blood pressure to insure the safest outcome .
Isoflourane and Sevoflourane gas anesthesias are used just as in human hospitals for all anesthetic procedures. These are the safest products available and can be used with senior pets and even exotic pets.
Centralized oxygen systems are continuously utilized by our doctors and nurses. This gives them access to oxygen in many different places throughout our hospital.
Exotic Information pamphlets are available at no charge with an examination of your special exotic pet. These pamphlets have been written and prepared by Dr. Gregory and Dr. Williams to include all of the important information that you need to care for your special pet.
Special Oxygen/incubation units are available for exotic pet emergencies that require oxygen or temperature control.
Exotic Radiology enables us to diagnose problems on the smallest bird or exotic animal.
Our Video Otoscope is a new addition that allows us to view your pets ear canal on a special screen so that you can see what our doctor sees when your pet is having ear problems.
