Choosing a VeterinarianJan 16th, 2011
While convenience of location is an important factor when choosing a veterinarian, there are many other things to consider. Yes, price shopping is a necessary step when determining whether to choose one practice over another, but you should also be thinking about the value of the service you are receiving - is the price of a service more or less at one veterinarian's office compared to that of another? If the answer is yes, you should ask more questions: Will the veterinarian spend more time with me and my pet? Are additional services included that may not have been mentioned? What about safety; how well-trained is the veterinary staff? Are safer drugs and proper doses being used? For more advice about choosing a veterinarian, click here.
